What this glove is for

Chemo Safe exists for one reason: handling chemotherapy drugs requires a glove tested for that exposure, not a general examination glove with a broad safety claim.

Chemo Safe is a powder-free nitrile examination glove developed for chemotherapy-drug workflows. The supplied catalogue identifies ASTM D6978 as the defining standard: assessment of resistance of medical gloves to permeation by chemotherapy drugs. That is the centre of the product — oncology pharmacy, compounding, preparation, administration support and the cytotoxic-waste chain.

The powder-free format matters in hazardous-drug areas because powder can contaminate the work zone and absorb or retain hazardous material. The 5 mil nitrile body balances barrier strength with the dexterity needed for closed-system transfer devices, capped vials, syringes, infusion components and sample handling. Selection must still follow the drug-specific permeation report and the facility’s hazardous-drug procedure.

Powder-free work zoneNo donning powder is introduced where it could contaminate the preparation area or retain hazardous drug residue.
Control without thinnessA 5 mil nitrile construction adds working strength while preserving the tactile control required for precise oncology workflows.

What the material does

01ASTM D6978-05 is the defining chemotherapy-drug permeation assessment listed for the product.
02Powder-free construction avoids introducing donning powder that can contaminate the work area and retain hazardous drug residue.
03A 5 mil nitrile body balances barrier strength, puncture resistance and tactile control.
04Finger texture supports handling of capped vials, syringes, closed-system transfer devices and infusion components.
05Pure nitrile construction contains no natural-rubber latex protein.
06Blue and purple colourways support visible separation from general clinical gloves or between controlled work zones.

11 · How it is made

The line behind the box

Chemo Safe is formed as a 5 mil powder-free nitrile examination glove with texture concentrated at the fingers for controlled handling.

The line is specified around chemotherapy-drug permeation assessment rather than relying on nitrile material or thickness as a substitute for test data.

Certification and permeation evidence are supplied per product line and production lot so the buyer can verify the exact scope before use.
